Looking for a quick refresh with minimal committment? With a wide range of wallpaper manufacturers now offering peel and stick wallpaper — yes, that’s right, removable wallpaper! — injecting a happy burst of pattern into your home no longer requires a day spent covered in glue. But why stick (pun intended) to just your walls? We’ve pulled together our favorite peel & stick wallpaper DIY ideas to brighten up your home!

Pretty up a set of drawers

Drawer liners can take a simple set of drawers from average to extraordinary. For the most basic update, add a slice of wallpaper the same size and shape as the bottom of your drawer for a simple liner. Feeling a little bolder? Measure your sides and wrap a sheet of wallpaper from the inside to the outside for a complete drawer transformation.

Beautify your bookcase

Whether you have a simple IKEA BILLY bookcase or a set of built ins surrounding a fireplace, using wallpaper to highlight the backs of the shelves can give you a welcome pop of pattern! Use a more subtle pattern for just a hint of texture or play with metallics to really add some depth to the shelves.

Create framed art

Wallpaper designs have expanded way beyond your basic damask and stripes over the years — with underwater scenes to city inspired toiles to even forest inspired patterns, wallpaper patterns are becoming an art in their own right. Play around with framing small pieces of wallpaper with a wide mat or larger pieces of artwork in a more architectural scale for a unique take on framed artwork.

Serve up some style

Sometimes the simplest updates can have the most impact! All it takes is a small square of wallpaper to give your plain tray a patterned personality. We love this idea for bold colored lacquered trays for a preppy look.

Make a statement staircase

Talk. About. Drama! What better way to make a statement with pattern than decorating the fronts of your staircase? We love this look for contemporary and eclectic spaces, using bold geometric patterns, but this could also be used in a more classically country space with a dainty floral.
