Did you know that today is International Women’s Day? We’re big fans of the holiday here at Havenly– after all, we’re a female founded company, with a majority female staff. It’s a great place to work, among such smart, interesting, and driven women. So to celebrate them, we’ve compiled the ultimate girl-power playlist. It’s the perfect pump-up for all of you girl bosses out there.

Without further ado, the playlist and some thoughts about a few of its best songs.

Wannabe- The Spice Girls

Because the royal wedding is coming quickly and I’m mostly jealous I’m not going to be able to watch the Spice Girls reunion performance at the reception. Also because this song is an iconic anthem for every girl who’s ever put her friends first.

Hell on Heels- The Pistol Annies

Yes, I did sing this at my freshman year a cappella auditions. No, I did not get into an  cappella group. Still, this song makes you feel just a little bit like an outlaw. A really fabulous one, at that.

Dancing On My Own- Robyn

Iconic because of that scene from Girls, this song is a reminder that one doesn’t need a significant other to have a good time. Even if you’re in a crappy mood, this tune is hard not to dance to.

No Scrubs- TLC

If you can’t sing every word to this song, were you even a 90s girl? While a scrub can’t get no love from me, this song can. Catch me putting this one on repeat while I drive home from work.

Smile- Lily Allen

This song is the biggest f@!* you to Lily’s ex-boyfriend, and I’m here for it. There’s nothing like commiserating with a girlfriend about a dirtbag ex, and this song recreates that feeling and adds a melody you can’t get out of your head.

BRB, listening to this on blast for the rest of the day.
