As I mentioned last week, Shelby Girard, our Director of Design Operations, decked her Chicago apartment out with skull decor galore for her fabulous Day of the Dead Party!  We wanted to be there so badly– alas, being a multi-city team spread between Denver, Chicago, Houston and New York, we were unable to attend the festivities (gave me the major sads).  Fortunately, Shelby took lots of pictures and gave us the scoop yesterday…

Shelby prepared a station for old fashioned cocktails along with an apple spice mule punch (which she made by distilling apples, cinnamon, cloves, and star anise in Bacardi rum, and finally adding ginger beer and lime)!  She made the banners, drink labels and the signs by the punch and old fashioned station.

She bought cheap prayer candles and fake flowers as a centerpiece…

Her crafty friends made masks and of course, sugar skull make-up was abundant…

DayofDead3

Shelby and her boyfriend, Chris, of course, went all out!

Next Dia de los Muertos can’t come quickly enough!
