April showers bring May flowers (and spring florals!) … both inside and out. Floral prints are the perfect way to add color and texture to a space and what better time to introduce some flower power than spring? With a multitude of variations on the print, florals are easy to adapt to any style. Nor sure where to start with floral prints? Read on for our favorite ways to incorporate this classic pattern in your space!

Wallpaper

Floral wallpaper may bring to mind your grandmother’s home… but modern wallpaper designs are changing that stereotype! With prints ranging from small hand drawn designs to large scale photographic style patterns, there’s a blossom inspired wallpaper for everyone. For a dramatic and modern take on a typically feminine motif, choose a print with a dark ground for a show stopping accent wall.

Rugs

Floral rugs are a welcome change from your more  traditional rug designs. Bringing in an unexpected burst of color and pattern, a floral rug can instantly add visual interest to a space! When using a busier pattern in your rug, be sure to incorporate some solid color elements to add a moment of relief in the space.

Pillows

Pillows can be the most affordable and quickest way to update a space — so why not try some bold and colorful florals in your bedroom or living room? Balance out intricate prints with simpler two color prints or solid color pillows with some texture to frame the florals and keep the combination feeling balanced.

Flowers are a classic choice for art subjects for good reason — they instantly add color and life to a space and are available in a wide range of styles and compositions. Choose a photographic print for a little romance or a watercolor inspired print for more of a boho twist on the motif!
