I’m Gillian, the Sr. Manager of Brand here at Havenly. I help define the brand visually and through messaging and copywriting. Styling homes comes with the job since that’s what we do, so naturally, I get to work with various aesthetics to source products to perfect the shot. That’s why I wanted to create a series where we get to show you more about our own personal style and what’s inspiring us, with no filter.

This season, I am drawn to bold colors, floral prints and, still, can’t stop with the millennial pink. Pop art, pop-y colors, poppy the flower are all things I cannot get enough of. Living in Colorado, I’m inspired by muted yet bold colors and nature. Since I am indeed a plant lady, I get my nature fix from house plants and prints and textiles with flowers and leaves. When it comes to color, I don’t hold back. I pick a few color rules for each room and mix and match colors within those parameters. And, I’m a sucker for retro and I love the color palette that retro plastic decor objects were made with (hello, this is where millennial pink truly became a thing) so I collect those for fun pops of color.

As you know, at Havenly, we work with all styles, so I’ve highlighted some of my favorite products available on our site right now. See what I meant about the pastel plastics?! (The book ends on the lower left.)
