I\u2019m Lauren, or \u201cLC\u201d as they know me at HQ, and I\u2019m a Design Assistant here at Havenly. \u00a0I work closely with all of our talented designers and work on a few design projects of my own too, so I\u2019m constantly exposed to the latest design trends and browsing through the latest furniture collections. \u00a0(Can I tell you how hard it is to <\/span>not<\/span><\/i> want to update my home every few months?!) \u00a0I wanted to share some of my favorite things – design and non-design related – with y\u2019all to give you a curated glimpse into what I\u2019ve been coveting lately, and give you some inspiration for your next design project.<\/span><\/p>\n

What’s inspiring me this week<\/h3>\n

Exciting news – I\u2019m moving into a new place next month! \u00a0Location TBD, but I currently live in a 1,000+ sq. ft apartment and I\u2019ll be downsizing to a smaller studio in the heart of Denver. \u00a0My current apartment is pretty sizable, so I\u2019ve been dreaming of small space solutions that aren\u2019t necessarily from Ikea\u2026 and don\u2019t really look like they\u2019re from Ikea either. \u00a0Like this small space hack from MyDomaine<\/a>. \u00a0How great is this idea to re-purpose a small desk to serve a dual purpose as a desk <\/span>and<\/span><\/i> a nightstand?! \u00a0Totally brilliant, and totally easy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Products I’m loving<\/h3>\n

I already have a solid base of furniture with my sofa, chair, and bedroom pieces, but I\u2019m really feeling the Bohemian + Scandinavian vibes these days, and I’m looking forward to transitioning my new studio more towards this style combo. \u00a0I don’t want to start completely from scratch with my furniture and decor, but I\u2019ve had my current rug for a few years now, and it\u2019s definitely time for an update. (Pro tip<\/strong>: \u00a0a new rug can have a huge impact on the style of a room, and it\u2019s a quick and easy way to change a space from one style to another!) \u00a0How perfectly does\u00a0this rug<\/a>\u00a0combine my two favorite styles?<\/span><\/p>\n

Other Inspiration<\/h3>\n

Outside of designing, I\u2019m a total foodie – I love to bake, I\u2019m always in charge of bringing the cocktails at family gatherings, and I <\/span>really <\/span><\/i>try<\/span> to keep tabs on the growing Denver restaurant scene. \u00a0I just made these chocolate cupcakes<\/a> with cookie dough frosting\u2026 and they barely lasted 24 hours. \u00a0So good! \u00a0Next on my list are <\/span>these vanilla + fig cocktails<\/span><\/a>. \u00a0That flavor combination? \u00a0Totally perfect for a summer-to-fall evening. I can already picture myself curling up with this drink well into the cooler months.<\/span><\/p>\n

I can’t get over the super subtle blush pink tone of this cocktail either! \u00a0It almost has me rethinking my inspiration for my new\u00a0apartment…<\/span><\/p>\n
