The\u00a0sophisticated foundation\u00a0of neutrals (gray, black and white) keeps the room grounded and classic, while the unexpected splashes\u00a0of fuchsia and citron bring the room to life. \u00a0A similar formula is applied in terms of the designer’s choice of patterns;\u00a0stripes (familiar timelessness) paired with ikat (exotic complexity) achieve a harmonious balance. \u00a0More precious details\u00a0(the crystal ship chandelier and bentwood chairs) are\u00a0offset by a strapping concrete table in a sharp and minimalist silhouette.<\/p>\n

Versatility is difficult to achieve\u00a0when designing what would also be a statement<\/em> room. \u00a0Imagine this room without the current throw pillows and drapery. \u00a0With what would you replace them?\u00a0One could inject a more classically nautical vibe\u00a0with navy, white and cobalt (or red if you dare!). \u00a0If drama’s your thing,\u00a0perhaps you’d opt for some magnificently macabre black or deep plum accents. \u00a0The gray, black, white, and tan base remains a safe and solid foundation for whatever story you choose to build down the line. \u00a0Now, that’s staying power!<\/p>\n
