Planning a cross-country move is no small feat. Once you\u2019ve arrived in a new city, you have so much to do, yet you want to explore your new city. Recently, writer\u00a0Allie L. of lifestyle blog Allie Wears<\/a>, took the plunge and moved to Los Angeles, fulfilling her lifelong dream of living in Southern California. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>I moved to California with not one piece of furniture to my name… true story. It was scary, but I was excited at the idea of a fresh start. Since I downsized my entire life, I wanted my bedroom to be simple & fresh, yet pretty,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Allie knew she wanted a bedroom to fit her new SoCal style. She envisioned a clean room with pops of color that was easygoing and creative, paying homage to her new California home and her love of photography.<\/span><\/p>\n

Allie\u2019s designer, Stafford, knew just what to do, suggesting furniture with clean lines and retro, 70s style vibes. We love the gold geometric end table and chic-yet-affordable dresser.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a cross-country move is not cheap, Allie was on a budget. Stafford sourced from a variety of affordable vendors, including Target, IKEA and West Elm, for a room that\u2019s stylish and fun but didn\u2019t break the bank.<\/span><\/p>\n

We love the tasseled throw at the foot of her bed, the cool, geometric rug, and the marble-and-gold accents like the jewelry stands and framed prints.<\/span><\/p>\n
