Some friends from the midwest were visiting California and we all met at the house they where they were staying in Santa Barbara. It was one of those warm days when the drinks were flowing and everyone was just sitting around chatting in the backyard. I wandered from the conversation a bit, drawn by the texture and color of the the succulent garden. I photographed a number of little plants that day with my camera in one hand and a wine glass in the other. This lambs year was by far my favorite.
