This design was directly inspired by traditional embroidered textiles from the Otomi people of Mexico. Emily borrowed their folk art styling to create a contemporary look for your home. As with many of the Otomi textiles, this print tells a story but it is up to you to translate it.

My daughters birth was at the forefront of my mind when I created this art. She was born a warm July night, and like most parents, I felt that my life changed for the better that night. I have very fond memories of warm July nights and this scene naturally evolved from a watercolored night sky I painted.
