Here at Havenly, we’re a sucker for a beautiful bouquet of blooms to complete a room. But what about a room full of blooms? Be still our beating hearts.
We recently partnered with Jill Gaynor, owner of City Girl Flowers, to decorate her New York apartment, which serves double duty as her home and office. Jill’s beautiful floral arrangements take up quite a bit of space—and she wanted more storage in her 500-square-foot apartment without compromising style. Luckily for Jill, Havenly is accustomed to decorating small city spaces.
Jill says, “Rearranging and repurposing my existing furniture to find additional storage space in a New York studio is challenging enough—add in a new floral business and I knew it was time to call in a professional! It was the perfect opportunity to try Havenly, an affordable, online interior design service.”
We matched Jill with Anna, who specializes in glamorous, chic apartment designs.

Jill explains, “Anna listened carefully to what I was looking for: creating a lovely and functional live-and-work environment. I told her I wanted to maintain my current style, but was open to adding some new accessories to give it a fresh look. She immediately offered suggestions and storage solutions I would not have thought of on my own.
After a week, Anna presented Jill with two concept boards, each with stylish, unique and practical accessories to enhance the space and hide her floral supplies—an important need.
With Jill’s direction, Anna went forward and placed her orders with the Havenly team. She adds, “In addition to the fabulous designs, Anna and the customer service associates at Havenly are wonderful to work with! They went above and beyond to make sure I loved everything. The project came together perfectly and I’ve been happily living and working out of my updated apartment for a few weeks.”
After
We love the gold etagé, round marble table, and ghost chairs—which is a perfect setting for a client meeting or small dinner party. With its bright whites and calming blues, her bedroom is a serene escape from city life. We can almost smell those roses from here.
What do you think of Jill’s New York apartment + studio?
Happy decorating,
