The Style Line has long been praised for its ability to tell stories with style. The site’s founder, Rachel Schwartzman, created the blog back in 2011 and has amassed a large, loyal, and growing audience. Given her penchant for style and visual storytelling, we were thrilled to work with Rachel to redecorate her Brooklyn apartment.

Rachel wanted a space that would function as a comfortable bedroom and home office. It was clear from her style quiz that she valued functionality, style, and simplicity. So, she was assigned to Havenly designer, Amy, and began the Havenly experience.  Amy wanted to provide Rachel with an inspirational area that would allow the busy blogger to focus on her work, while not looking too much like an office. The white walls provided a perfect neutral backdrop for the beautiful art she wanted to feature.

The pair decided to paint one wall in a chalkboard paint, which is both functional for her office area and added a pop to the back wall. Amy went with a simple rug and bedding for a clean look to pull the space together. The industrial metal elements in the copper chair and clothing rack are balanced out by the rich, reclaimed wood seen in the wall, shelves, and dresser.

Overall, the space is clean yet eclectic, infused with the personal touches Rachel needed to allow for creative inspiration and productivity.
