For a party that celebrates retro, warm-weather glamour, there’s no question that refreshing tropically-inspired cocktails are an absolute necessity. We couldn’t ignore our sixties inspiration either- we’ve pulled together recipes that are a retro throwback. An old school Rum Punch is a fun and colorful addition to any party, while the classic Tom Collins is refreshing and delicious.

Rum Punch

A party drink who’s heyday was the Mad Men era, this punch is festive and pretty for any party.

1 cup fresh lime juice

2 cups grenadine syrup

2 cups white rum

1 cup light rum

2 cups fresh pineapple juice

2 cups fresh orange juice

Nutmeg

Orange slices

Pineapple Slices

Directions

Mix all ingredients together in a pitcher. Chill for at least one hour before serving. Garnish with fruit slices.

Tom Collins

A refreshingly sour gin drink, the Tom Collins is a warm-weather staple. Whether you’re spending your holiday by the pool or not, a Tom Collins will transport you to that vacation state of mind.

Ingredients

1 ½ ounces gin

1 ounce lemon juice

½ ounce simple syrup

Club soda

Maraschino cherry

Directions

Pour the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a tall glass with ice cubes. Stir thoroughly. Top with club soda, and garnish with a cherry.
