Another month is nearly done, which means astrological transition is in the air, and its time for us to pull out our crystal ball for another design horoscope! This one is extra special for us– weirdly enough, our team is overwhelmingly Scorpio (including me)! So, we pooled our collective expertise to create the ultimate compilation of scorpio-centric design advice.

Functional yet Personal

Intense, driven Scorpio needs a space that will let them pursue their ambitious goals. That means a workspace that allows them to focus on projects, without distraction or disorganization. A great, functional cabinet system means Scorpio can keep all of their belongings close at hand- all the better for a deep dive into focused effort. But Scorpio can be intensely private, so closed cabinetry is a great option, all the better for Scorpio to keep some things hidden from nosy visitors. A great sculptural desk lamp will illuminate what’s needed, and allow Scorpio to keep the rest of the room mysteriously dim like they prefer.

A space tailor-made for a scorpio

Warmth and Depth

This late-fall sign is known to be passionate and intense, and is often associated with deep, sensuous red. So, any scorpio worth their salt is likely to surround themselves with lush, warm tones. Think furniture upholstered in reds, oranges, and pinks. No blonde woods- instead, they’ll love rich caramel tones paired with gorgeous camel leather. And, don’t forget a plush Persian rug- the perfect way to bring that signature red into a space. Plus, the romantic associations of their eastern-inspired designs will work perfectly with Scorpio’s seductive vibes.

Edgy

Scorpio is no wallflower, and their edgy reputation definitely carries over to their home. They might be the perfect person to try lacquered black walls, or furniture that’s as sculptural as it is comfortable. Art and accessories are also a great way for Scorpio to channel their edgy side: photo prints, tongue-in-cheek paintings, posters, or funky objets can bring a totally rock and roll feel to any room. To top it all off, Scorpio won’t shy away from bold pattern mixing that might scare the tamer signs.
If a room reflects its owner’s personality, Scorpio’s space is sure to be unique and utterly personal. After all, its one of the most mysterious and misunderstood signs. But, as we (a bunch of scorpios) see it, the more unique the better! Shop our list, or make your own with a designer.
