TGIF! This week’s designer tip comes from our lovely designer, Sarah! Sarah has 10 years of experience working in Chicago in the design and construction fields, and recently joined the Havenly team earlier this year. She has had a life-long obsession with residential interiors, and can be seen gawking at her favorite Chicago houses for regular doses of inspiration. Sarah’s favorite summer activities are hanging out at the lake, going to parks, and hitting up the city’s many farmers’ markets with her husband and 1-year-old son. Here is her tip on accessorizing:
“Accessorizing and styling your space is one of the most important steps to creating an impactful, lively and warm room. Accessorizing is a great opportunity to not only infuse your space with the things you love that reflect your personality, but it also gives you a chance to keep and display family heirlooms or a beautiful antique that spoke to you. Try mixing the old with the new, and layer objects of varying heights and textures to create visual depth and interest. Fresh flowers also never hurt!”
