Labor Day weekend has come and gone, which means fall is really here. The weather’s getting cooler, we’re digging out our favorite boots, and it’s time for a fall decor refresh! While light and bright is perfect for the long days of summer, we’re craving a warmer, cozier space for fall. Read on for the trends our Havenly designers predict will be major in the coming months.

Tone on tone pattern: We love bright patterns, but the sophisticated texture of a tone-on-tone pattern brings subtlety to a space. A rug like this can provide a great base for brighter furniture and accessories without being boring.

Colored and iridescent glass: Okay, you caught us, we definitely have magpie tendencies. Iridescent glass pieces will reflect light in a space, adding depth of field to any lighting scheme and bringing warmth on those shorter nights.

Bone inlay furniture and decor: Sporting hypnotic geometric patterns, bone inlay furniture is about to have a moment. Whether it’s a small accent tray or a statement piece like a table, inlay brings texture and interest with a luxurious feel.

Terrazzo: The chips of marble, quartz, and glass in Terrazo mean the material is sparkly and textural. In other words, reflective and perfect for fall. It’ll add interest to countertops, floors, tables, and even accessories!

Curved silhouettes in furniture: Break up those cold, hard edges with soft and rounded silhouettes. Furniture with sensual curves will be huge– look for modern updates on old classics to provide visual interest in any room.

Watercolors in art: With their handmade quality, watercolors add an artisanal, human element to any space. Their soft quality is restful and beautiful in contrast with harder, shinier finishes.

Suede, leather, velvet: Colder weather calls for warm, rich texture. There’s nothing better than these deeply tactile materials for warming up a space. Look for jewel tone velvets that will pair beautifully with dark leathers. Even better, these fabrics tend to look even better with age, developing a beautiful patina over time.

Well, there you have it. By incorporating these fall trends into your space, you’ll be warm and cozy as the weather turns cooler. Now it’s time to go shopping!
