For many of us, gallery walls are known to be one of the most creative ways to dress up boring walls that are in need of some serious attention! Decorating your walls with an array of beautiful framed artwork can be made simple, especially if you know the right people in the biz! Luckily for you, we have partnered with our good friends over at Simply Framed to bring you four innovative ideas to curate the perfect gallery wall. Here’s how to achieve the look:

Choose an aesthetic and maintain the theme. Choosing a general aesthetic is the most important attribute when creating a gallery wall. Whether your style is eclectic, glam, or leans more towards traditional, keeping your gallery wall cohesive and uniform is always the best practice.

Make it Personal. Try to invest in artwork that you personally connect with. or if you are feeling more ambitious, create your own artwork and frame it! This will help make the space more meaningful and will also lend a fun story to chat about while entertaining guests!

Frame it. Speaking of framed artwork, why not spruce up your gallery wall with fun frames, designed to perfection for every style?! Our friends over at Simply Framed have a wide variety of high quality frames for half the price! Did we mention that all of their frames are custom made to your liking? Visit their site to learn more about their products!

Pick an appropriate layout. The last and final step to perfecting a gallery wall is placement! Our designers recommend first laying the frames out on the floor, as you would on the wall, in order to get a better idea of how everything will look. Once you are comfortable with the layout, grab your painter’s tape and kraft paper so that you can layout the placement on the wall. Finally–it’s time for the fun part! Get your hammer and nails and start hanging your gorgeous artwork!
