It’s been a long time since I’ve written a post for the Havenly blog, but I wanted to take the time to update everyone on the many exciting changes here at Havenly.
First, we’re relaunching out of beta, and rebranding. Come this weekend, you’ll experience a brand new site—that’s beautiful, with more images, but also a website with better functionality to help you understand where you are in the process and allow you to communicate better with our team.
You’ll also notice that we’ve redone our logo and brand. We worked quite hard to come up with a logo that reflected who we are, and our design sensibilities. The stamp is a sophisticated take on the four walls of a room, and our Havenly ‘H’. We think it’s a fun, fitting update to our brand. We’ve also updated the look and feel with new colors and fonts. Over the past year, we’ve learned a lot about that our customers wanted—and what our designers needed to meet those needs. We began this company with the goal of creating the most simple, accessible way to decorate your home, online. Most of the changes for our relaunch are focused on improving our product for our customers—and creating a brand that better reflects Havenly’s aesthetic as a company.
Here are the major changes we’ve made:
Your Design Process
After filling out the design questionnaire, you’ll now receive a choice among the available designers in your style. We’ll surface a few of their design inspirations—and you can pick the designer that most appeals to you.
We also heard you loud and clear when you said that you didn’t have room dimensions, so we’re sending you a little design care package when you sign up, which includes some instructions on how to get started, and a measuring tape to measure your home—plus a notepad and pencil to jot down those dimensions.
Pricing
One of the hardest decisions we’ve had to make over the last few months is about our pricing structure. Because we provide a completely customized full room design, from a trained and screened designer, our business depends on finding talented designers who create beautiful rooms.
With the incredible demand that we’ve seen from all of you, we’ve realized that we need to change our pricing to continue to provide the service and quality that you expect from us. We aim to find the best designers, and provide a complete service—that takes our customers from the design quiz all the way to furnishing your home, and delights you along the way.
Because of that, we’ll be raising our design fee by $14 to $199 starting this weekend. But, there’s good news for existing customers and subscribers to our email list—you’ll be grandfathered in at the original price!
In addition, we’re going to test different product offerings at different price points, to accommodate all of the feedback that we’ve been given from our first customers.
