The holiday style that celebrates a winter wonderland.

A Mountain-Bound Mariah Carey

There’s something dreamy about a snowy holiday season–it’s just a little bit of extra magic that creates such a cozy atmosphere. As we designed our 2017 celebration styles, we kept coming back to that feeling. Of course, we drew in some other inspiration: Aspen’s over-the-top winter glamour, Mariah Carey’s love of both the holidays and glitter. With all of those fabulous ingredients, it’s no wonder All That Glitters is the most unapologetically glam celebration style we’ve ever dreamed up.

Soft textures, winter whites (and blush pinks!), and metallics of every kind make this a celebration style that’s perfect for transitioning out of “Christmas” and into “New Year’s Eve.” If you want to feel like your holiday matches your champagne toasts perfectly, we’ve pulled together decor and inspiration so your own holiday will be worthy of a pop princess.

White, Bright, and Everything Nice

All That Glitters brings major après ski glamour with a wintery color palette. Pastels like ice-blue and pale pink add just a hint of color to a mix of white, ivory, and cream textures. Mixing whites is okay, we promise! It actually looks more intentional and adds depth to a space. Marble accents add more brightness to traditionally heavier objects like serving pieces or even a coffee table, while gold hardware brings major shine. All That Glitters is all about reflecting light throughout the space, so white string lights, crystal ornaments, tinsel, and even glassware with metallic elements refract warmth and light. This is not a style for a minimalist–instead, we love the layered, textured look that conveys over-the-top commitment to holiday glamour. Plus, it’s a style that can work all-year round. Just take down the holiday specific ornaments and your home is sure to look like a feminine and fabulous cozy den.

Celebrate in Style

If there’s a celebration style that’s just meant for the hostess with the mostest, it’s All That Glitters. Stock up on champagne, break out the chocolate fondue, and give in to all of the indulgent holiday treats you can gather. Dress your table with a feather boa or even LED twinkle lights, and add sparkle with crystal glasses and metallic accents. Drape each chair in a sheepskin for a luxe touch and light tons of tealight candles for sparkle. White China will look great, but spruce it up with gold flatware and marble serving pieces. Serve champagne and pretty cocktails in glitzy glasses and garnish with pomegranate seeds for a bubbly accent.

If All That Glitters is your holiday style of choice, you definitely appreciate drama and glamour on a special occasion. Even so, you want your space to feel comfortable and warm (the weather outside is frightful, after all) for your guests. So turn up the Mariah Christmas album, trim the tree in tinsel, and check out our decor picks and entertaining tips for a holiday that truly sparkles!
