Drama (and some good looking homes) in the form of American Dream Builders, that’s what– and we can’t hardly wait! The series premieres this Sunday at 8/7PM Central on NBC. It’s going to be like Extreme Makeover Home Edition meets Real Housewives meets Top Chef (without the food!) meets HGTV everything.

In Nate’s words (per the video), “every week you’ll see two completely different homes…in the same architectural style…with families living in the homes who have either outgrown the space or are just tired of living the way that they are. Enter our Dream Builders.” Nate emphasizes the fact that these designers are established. They are not looking to be the next big “whatever.” They already are! Each week there will be two houses, two teams — and one designer sent home with his or her bags packed!
Even more than the drama, we can’t wait for the designs! After reading (and loving) Domaine Home’s First Look at the Dream Builders’s Cast, we got a little Google-happy and did some recon. Are these designers the real thing?
