I’m Lauren, or “LC” as they know me at HQ, and I’m a Design Assistant here at Havenly. I work closely with all of our talented designers and work on a few design projects of my own too, so I’m constantly exposed to the latest design trends and browsing through the latest furniture collections. (Can I tell you how hard it is to not want to update my home every few months?!) I wanted to share some of my favorite things – design and non-design related – with y’all to give you a curated glimpse into what I’ve been coveting lately, and give you some inspiration for your next design project.
What’s inspiring me this week
Exciting news – I’m moving into a new place next month! Location TBD, but I currently live in a 1,000+ sq. ft apartment and I’ll be downsizing to a smaller studio in the heart of Denver. My current apartment is pretty sizable, so I’ve been dreaming of small space solutions that aren’t necessarily from Ikea… and don’t really look like they’re from Ikea either. Like this small space hack from MyDomaine. How great is this idea to re-purpose a small desk to serve a dual purpose as a desk and a nightstand?! Totally brilliant, and totally easy.

Products I’m loving
I already have a solid base of furniture with my sofa, chair, and bedroom pieces, but I’m really feeling the Bohemian + Scandinavian vibes these days, and I’m looking forward to transitioning my new studio more towards this style combo. I don’t want to start completely from scratch with my furniture and decor, but I’ve had my current rug for a few years now, and it’s definitely time for an update. (Pro tip: a new rug can have a huge impact on the style of a room, and it’s a quick and easy way to change a space from one style to another!) How perfectly does this rug combine my two favorite styles?
At the risk of going down a rabbit hole, I could go on and on about the changes that I want to make to my new apartment. I’ve currently got my eyes on this desk. Other Inspiration
Outside of designing, I’m a total foodie – I love to bake, I’m always in charge of bringing the cocktails at family gatherings, and I really try to keep tabs on the growing Denver restaurant scene. I just made these chocolate cupcakes with cookie dough frosting… and they barely lasted 24 hours. So good! Next on my list are these vanilla + fig cocktails. That flavor combination? Totally perfect for a summer-to-fall evening. I can already picture myself curling up with this drink well into the cooler months.
I can’t get over the super subtle blush pink tone of this cocktail either! It almost has me rethinking my inspiration for my new apartment…
