We can’t get enough of the crazy-good abstract pieces curated by Bridget Carron at Saatchi Art this week. The inspiration? The work of none other than Cy Twombly.
Edwin Parker “Cy” Twombly, Jr. (/saɪ ˈtwɒmbli/; April 25, 1928 – July 5, 2011[1]) was an American painter of large-scale, freely scribbled, calligraphic and graffiti-like works on solid fields of mostly gray, tan, or off-white colors. His paintings are in the permanent collections of the New York’s Museum of Modern Art and the Musée du Louvre in Paris. {via Wikipedia}
A small variety of Cy Twombly prints (sampling above) are available for purchase. The originals? Best plan a trip to the MOMA and call it a day.
But what about these works available for purchase on Saatchi Art inspired by his style? They are just fantastic– and the artist true original work can be purchased for a range of prices (most with very affordable print versions for sale as well). Here are a few of our favorites…

What do you think? Which ones do you covet?
