Design Story: A California-Cool Blogger’s Bedroom
Planning a cross-country move is no small feat. Once you’ve arrived in a new city, you have so much to do, yet you want to explore your new city. Recently, writer Allie L. of lifestyle blog Allie Wears, took the plunge and moved to Los Angeles, fulfilling her lifelong dream of living in Southern California.
“I moved to California with not one piece of furniture to my name… true story. It was scary, but I was excited at the idea of a fresh start. Since I downsized my entire life, I wanted my bedroom to be simple & fresh, yet pretty,” she said.
Before
Allie knew she wanted a bedroom to fit her new SoCal style. She envisioned a clean room with pops of color that was easygoing and creative, paying homage to her new California home and her love of photography.
Allie’s designer, Stafford, knew just what to do, suggesting furniture with clean lines and retro, 70s style vibes. We love the gold geometric end table and chic-yet-affordable dresser.
Design Concept
As a cross-country move is not cheap, Allie was on a budget. Stafford sourced from a variety of affordable vendors, including Target, IKEA and West Elm, for a room that’s stylish and fun but didn’t break the bank.
