Let’s be honest for a second here.  We honor and respect the original work of designers worldwide. The masterpieces of many well-known artists and designers have been so prolific that they’ve ignited the desire in manufacturers to imitate time and time again!  We are truly not advocating the purchase of reproductions– but we are also realists.  We get it– the real thing costs some real money!  And wouldn’t it be nice to not have to take out a second mortgage on your house just to decorate it?  We hear you.

What do you think of the iconic (S-shaped) cantilevered stacking chair designed by Verner Panton in 1960?  It’s available at two of our favorite e-design shops, Design Within Reach and the Dwell store at $310 per chair in a variety of colors…

Alternatively, how do you feel about this reproduction called the “Slither Dining Side Chair” available for purchase at LexMod for $99?
