Meet Cheralee.
She’s the super stylish 20-something behind the blog Ascot Road. Named after her beloved childhood street in South Africa, the blog highlights her style musings, creative inspiration, beauty stories, and a weekly dose of travel tips for all the wanderlusts out there.
Cheralee recently relocated from Washington, D.C., to New York and called on Havenly to help design her new space. Havenly designer Diana helped Cheralee with a living room makeover for her Brooklyn apartment. Cheralee’s beautiful brown leather couch provided the basis for a Boho-chic design that’s both cool and comfortable.

“Moving to New York was one of the most exciting and scary things I have ever done,” said Cheralee. “The city is such a crazy place that can really tire you out, so I knew I wanted to invest time and effort into my new apartment to make it super cozy so I would have my own little oasis to come back to everyday.”
Diana was inspired by Cheralee’s modern space and vintage furniture and wanted to maintain the balance between new and old while keeping the space feeling fresh! For both concepts, Diana used a neutral palette and added pops of color throughout the space.

Charalee loved both concept boards, but leaned towards concept number one. During the product revision stage, Cheralee requested more black-and-white throw pillows. Both Urban Outfitters and West Elm offer a great selection of throws on a budget!

Overall, Cheralee already owned a lot of the key pieces (e.g. sofa and coffee table), but was having a hard time putting together a cohesive look. With the Havenly process, Diana helped Cheralee visualize how these pieces could work together to make her dream living room come true.
