You might think neon lights are only for dive bars and bowling alleys, however we’ve been spotting this bright trend illuminating chic homes around the web. If you have a bold bone in your, this trend may be up your alley.

Neon lighting is surfacing in modern interior spaces as a quirky alternate to art and wall decor. While we here at Havenly are not typically fans of cheesy word art (think: Keep Calm and Carry On), we are certainly into this trend as it is a sure way to add a bit of edge or whimsy into your space. In fact, we just snagged the West Elm “cheers” light for above our office bar cart here at Havenly and plan to turn it on right around 5pm everyday.

We Heart Neon Art

We heart neon art, especially in the entryway!

Houzz

Our favorite uses for neon are as statement art above a headboard or sofa, in a kids room, or even as an accent piece in a powder room. It’s a simple way to exude cool, and tons of artists offer custom options, so you can design your own with your favorite symbol or phrase.

In addition to the standard neon light, we also love the trend in the form of photographed art! It’s also a bit more practical if you’re not into the neon glow (or price tag) of a real light.
