Havenly-Designer-Tip-of-the-week-2Independence Day is only a few short days away! We’re celebrating the patriotic season with a designer tip from our decorating expert, Stephanie! Prior to joining the Havenly team, Stephanie spent three years working in commercial real estate designing office interiors. She enjoys tinkering on her sewing machine, rifling through thrift stores and estate sales, and being an exceptional dog nanny!

Stephanie’s personal design style can be described as mid-century with a dash of Bohemian flare. Here is Stephanie’s designer tip of the week:

Havenly-Designer-Tip-Stephanie“If I am hosting friends for a Fourth of July bash, I like to get outside and take advantage of the warm weather and lush greenery. Decorating for an outdoor event puts the focus right where it needs to be: the food table! If you’re having friends over for a July 4th get-together, chances are there will be grilling and summer cocktails involved. Focus on decorating a fun and inviting tablescape! I like to pull out my colorful Fiestaware serving dishes and throw together a fresh fruit salad in a glass bowl. Add in a vibrant tablecloth or placemats, a fresh floral arrangement, a few paper lanterns or a string of lights, and you’ve got a festive outdoor party to celebrate Independence Day!”

Happy Independence Day, from our family to yours!

Happy decorating,

Mara
