So, we’ve always had a bit of a style crush on all things Southern. We love the sound of a country song, can’t ever resist a sip or three of Kentucky Bourbon, and sport polka dots more often than Mini Mouse. So when Jenn Britt, one of our designers in Charlotte, NC, pulled together her favorite gifts for the holiday – we had ourselves a good old fashioned southern swoon.

While we were thrilled to take the Shelby Girard out of Chicago, we found it impossible to take the Chicago out of Shelby Girard. She’s truly a Windy City girl to her core. And when we think Chicago, we think of lake effect wind chill, deep dish pizza, and the Bulls – but Shelby, one of our veteran designers, has put together a modern gift guide for the lover of an elevated eclectic aesthetic. Everyone has their own take on what comprises true New York style. Havenly designer Sara Maniaci knows that, for some, the city’s style is underpinned by the mid-century heaven of 1960s Madison Avenue. And while it’s hard to argue with Don Draper, Sara knows it’s impossible to ignore the fact that the city’s industrial living spaces (think SoHo and Williamsburg), with their improvised kitchen spaces and exposed pipes and beams, paved the way for truly modern aesthetics.
