I think Liz Gray at HGTV put it best when she said (after the Spring 2014 High Point Market) that “the oh-so-70’s trend of wicker, rattan and bamboo is BACK.” It’s everywhere. We blogged about the trend a few months ago — we’re obviously fans! Pieces fabricated from this natural material just give your home that effortlessly cool vibe– and who wouldn’t want that? But we really need to know….is rattan furniture actually comfortable?
Seriously– we know it looks cool, but is this a chair you actually want to lounge in?

Zinc Door and Noir Furniture— can we kick back, have a beer and watch the game for a comfortable 2 hours in this gorgeous rattan scoop chair?

Oh Serena & Lily, can you please tell me that this killer fold-up rattan Palisades Chair in an ever so chic mid century shape isn’t going to be the last seat chosen on movie night? That doomed fate for this cool kid chair would break my heart!

I want it. I need it. Rattan furniture will be mine. But I have to convince my husband that on a scale of 1-10, it will score at least a 5 for comfort. Who has experience with rattan furniture and can fill us in?
xx, Alana
