Whether or not you’re an actual Taylor Swift fan, you can’t deny the ironclad grip that her new album Midnights and the subsequent Eras Tour currently has on pop culture. From the midnight to 2am release to the absolute spectacle that is every Eras show across the country, Taylor is making headlines left and right.
Of course, we’re not immune to this influence, particularly in regards to the aforementioned albums’ overarching vintage-glam aesthetic. It leans heavily into retro, 1970s nostalgia, vintage decor, and moody, autumnal hues like evergreen and mahogany. And, because the album is also about sleepless nights, there’s a healthy dose of rhinestones, faux fur, and glitter.
In other words, it’s perfect, and our designers couldn’t help but channel Midnights in a few Taylor-inspired room designs. Ahead, find three spaces inspired by the record-breaking album, plus a few Midnights-esque decor finds you can bring into your home.
The Living Room
Like the promotional photos for the album and the aesthetic of the Anti-Hero music video, we wanted to go a little retro in these room designs. In the living room, we have moody black paint, a vintage-inspired burl wood coffee table, 1970s-esque cognac leather, and a splash of brass for good measure. It’s a little nostalgic, a little modern, and perfectly Midnights.

A gold velvet channel-tufted sofa? It’s going to be a yes from us. This piece will set the vintage-glam tone for any space, particularly when paired with bold, moody black.
We chose this abstract art print for one obvious reason: the name. The ‘Before Midnight’ piece perfectly complements the vintage-rockstar aesthetic and will lend a moody touch to any space.
What’s a Taylor Swift-inspired space without a statement chandelier? We love the black and gold color palette of this CB2 beauty — it’s modern-retro perfection.
The Lounge
Because the Midnights album mentions wine often (relatable), it’s only fitting that we designed a speakeasy-inspired lounge space. The deep evergreen palette, mysterious palm wallpaper, dim overhead lighting, and glam accents create an enigmatic, art deco-inspired space fit for (yet another) Midnights listening party.

We’d argue that this marbled drum ottoman from The Inside is the best decorative representation of the Midnights album. Like a fever dream, it’s enchanting, fluid, and a bit dark.
While the song Mirrorball may be on a different T-Swift album, we’re pretty sure that Midnights-era Taylor would definitely want an oversized disco ball in her hypothetical cocktail lounge.
Can you image sipping a Lavender Haze in one of these cocktail glasses? Okay, we know this term is a nod to falling in love rather than an actual cocktail, but we predict this popping up on more than a few speakeasy drink menus in the near future.
The Bedroom
We picture Midnights-era Taylor feverishly writing songs by lamplight in a modern art deco bedroom like this one. With luxe faux fur and velvet coupled with gilded brass and mirrored animal wallpaper, it’s indulgent and decadent in the best possible way.

When so many song lyrics remind us of glittery nights spent imbibing in dark, moody bars, it’s only fitting that we add art deco-inspired wallpaper to this shopping list.
There’s a healthy amount of glitter, glam, and red lipstick thrown into this album already, and Taylor did wear a white faux fur jacket to the VMA afterparty this year. This throw blanket would obviously be draped across her king bed.
Taylor herself said that the Midnights album was “a journey through terrors and sweet dreams,” so we can definitely see an edgy yet ethereal candelabra like this one perched on her nightstand.
