Lee Mayer and Emily Motayed, Havenly’s (adorable) Founding Sisters (yes, they are really sisters. and yes, they really are adorable), have been working hard on the Havenly concept for months. The team is getting together to pop bottles in the Havenly offices tomorrow– but the girls wanted to share their excitement with you as well! Here is what they had to say:
Hello all!
We are so so excited to be able to finally address everyone: our friends, family, enemies, the cute blonde Starbucks barista who makes our coffee every morning (hi! Are you single?). It’s been a few months since we have last updated y’all in an official capacity, so it’s an absolute pleasure to be given the opportunity to write about us, our team, our product, and how far we’ve come. There’s still a lot to do, but we’re excited about what we’ve built.
As some of you know, Havenly has grown in the past few months. Since you first met us, we’ve gone through 3 logos, 72 different website designs (or so it feels like), 624 bottles of wine (and countless other cocktails), a lot of cheese (don’t you think brie is the best snack, ever?), and one major basement renovation (thank you Colorado floods).
Today marks the first day that we open back up our doors to clients since accepting trial customers this past summer, so it’s a big day for us! We have a few new updates for you guys, so I thank you in advance for bearing with us, but even more so, we thank all of you who have followed and supported us from taking this idea to a real business.

It’s also so much prettier than where it was when we first started!
Design:
Beautiful yet affordable and accessible interior design has and always will be the core of our business, and we are thrilled that we are expanding our design team with new team members with fabulous design sensibilities, so we can better match you with a designer that is aligned with your own personal taste. We’ll do individual personal introduction to the entire team in the coming weeks, but we’re so excited to have such talented members on board.
Team:
What started off as two sisters joking around about interior design on a phone call has now grown to an actual team! A lot of you are familiar with our fab Creative Director, Alana Highberger, who is the one keeping you guys updated on all the latest design news and musings on our blog, and those who have gone through the Havenly process may have worked with our design queen, officially the Director of Design, Shelby Girard. We’ll be sure to introduce you to our talented stable of designers in the upcoming week, but it’s nice to say that we’re growing and we all are becoming quite the small family, complete with bonding sessions over our mutual love for wine and fatty meats.
