I’ve been thinking a lot lately about easy ways to make your home (owned or rental) feel more contemporary and custom. My husband and I are about to buy a house (we close next week!) and the kitchen feels a little traditional for our taste. We plan to alter a number of things to make it feel more “us” (paint, stonework, etc), but a really easy fix for homeowners and renters a like is to change out the hardware. Don’t worry– we still love a good stainless steel/ silver-tone pull/knob, etc. But to truly change the look and feel of the whole room, why not try brass?
