For decades, interior designers in Boston, MA created Bahmin and federal styles that reflected Puritan practicality mixed with elite and upscale historical styles. Today’s designers are revolutionizing interior design from Cambridge to downtown and from Back Bay to Brookline.
ROOMS DESIGNED BY HAVENLY
With a healthy respect for the traditional and classic looks of the many historical architectural designs, Boston designers are infusing innovative, sophisticated, and contemporary to create a transitional style. They seamlessly make luxury affordable and classic looks cohesive with the modern world.
My favorite design aesthetic is anything with a warm, cozy vibe. I love a space that is light, bright, and airy. I gravitate toward simplistic, timeless elements with pops of color and various textures.
My current favorite design aesthetic is a mix between Scandinavian and Midcentury Modern. While I love designing in different styles, there's nothing like coming home to a calming, simplistic space full of neutral tones, natural woods, bursts of greenery, and cozy accents.
My favorite design aesthetic is transitional because it is the best of both worlds, those worlds being characteristics of traditional and modern design aesthetics. I love the symmetry, clean lines, and polished finishes you'll find with transitional designs that have a large focus on comfort. I love the balance you can find in the unexpected mix while allowing a space warmth and a relaxed feel.
As a designer, I love a lot of the different styles, be it Eclectic, Transitional, or even the New England Victorian style. I feel these are just great frameworks that have been established over time. We can always shake it up or mix a few different styles to create a one-of-a-kind space! My favorite design aesthetic is developing a couple of sweeping moves that become the focal point within a space, like an out-of-this-world chandelier or a striking accent wall.
My favorite design aesthetic is a combination of modern, farmhouse and bohemian. I really appreciate homemade and authentic items in a house, things with stories behind them and love to incorporate items with a meaning when creating a space in someone's home. With that being said I can also appreciate minimal, clean space and the beauty of simplicity but love pops of color and mismatched patterns all at the same time.
My style is predominantly Clean, Bohemian, and I enjoy working with a base palette of neutrals and using accessories, textures, and intentionality to add pops of color and give a space its definition.
I also love working with clients who seek Modern Farmhouse, California Cool, and Scandi Interiors.
Always a lover of detail, I find style inspiration in Art Deco, Oriental, and Hamptons and I enjoy incorporating them into my designs through vignettes and textiles.
