We’d be lying if we said that we didn’t look to celebrity homes for design inspiration. Not only do A-list actors and musicians tend to work with the most cutting-edge architects and design firms in the business, they always lend their own signature flair to an already next-level space.

Take the below celebrity homes, for example. From Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s unique L.A. farmhouse to Kerry Washington’s cozy Upper East Side penthouse, these spaces always push the envelope and serve as great fodder for our “Dream Home” Pinterest boards.

But, here’s a well-known designer secret, from us to you: you don’t have to have a million-dollar home to get the A-list look. With a little ingenuity and a lot of mood-boarding, you can nail celeb-inspired style in your home, too. Below, we’ve deconstructed the design from five of our favorite celebrity homes, complete with affordable product suggestions and shoppable links courtesy of our in-house designers. Without further ado, step inside five swoon-worthy celebrity homes for endless design inspiration.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s rustic hilltop home is not something you’d typically find in L.A. Not only does the modern farmhouse consist of a main house, an entertainment barn, a freestanding barbecue pavilion, and a cornfield dubbed “KuKu Farms,” it features all the trappings of a upscale country house in the middle of Los Angeles: reclaimed wood, exposed beams, concrete walls, and antique chandeliers. “This home is earthy and refined — it really lets nature do the talking,” says Havenly designer Melissa Wagner. “Luxe finishes like marble, crystal, and velvet contrast beautifully against rustic materials like leather, knotty wood, concrete, and iron.” To get the look in your home, it’s all about nailing that balance between rustic and refined. Start with a luxe velvet sofa and crystal chandelier, and mix in more undone pieces like a vintage-inspired rug, raw wood dining table, basket planters, and plenty of fresh greenery.

Hillary Duff’s Beverly Hills home is “a lovely depiction of the actress herself: cheerful, inviting, and whimsical,” notes Havenly designer Heather Goerzen. With a warm color palette, playful artwork, retro furniture, and plenty of Moroccan rugs, the space is a personality-packed haven that’s “anything but cookie-cutter,” she adds. To bring Duff’s discovered aesthetic to your space, it’s all about tasteful pattern play. Start with a colorful statement piece, like a tribal rug or vintage floral wallpaper, and layer in complementary patterns and colors via throw pillows, artwork, and window treatments. “Pair refined materials, like a velvet sofa or accent chair, with organic accents, like a cane bar cabinet,” suggests the designer. “This juxtaposition will help create that curated, storyful aesthetic.”

Kerry Washington’s cozy New York penthouse is the perfect blend between laid-back comfort and chic city sophistication. Located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side overlooking the Hudson River, it boasts a coveted indoor-outdoor atmosphere that’s accentuated by the textural touches and indoor plants. “This space features a harmonious, posh-yet-relaxed combination of organic textures, luxe fabrics, and comfortable details,” notes Havenly designer Vivian Torres. To nail the look in your home, she recommends plush upholstered furniture in neutral hues topped with contrasting throw pillows, plus natural accents like a reclaimed wood coffee table, large jute area rug, and plenty of greenery.

Mandy Moore’s Pasadena abode is the stuff of mid-century modern dreams. The 1950s-era home is a Harold B. Zook original, complete with clean lines, floor-to-ceiling windows, an open fireplace surround, and stacked brick partitions. But with the help of designer Sarah Sherman Samuel, Moore brings it into the 21st century via polished brass finishes, soft curved furniture, and white terrazzo floors. “The organic textures and feminine touches really modernize this home,” explains Havenly designer Kelsey Fisher. “It’s polished but welcoming and family-friendly; nothing is too precious.” To get the look in your home, mix a few classic mid-century modern pieces, like a staggered brass floor lamp and leather accent chairs, with warm contemporary touches, like round velvet ottomans and woven wall hangings. And don’t be afraid to add a touch of blush.

Behati Prinsloo and Adam Levine’s Pacific Palisades home is laid-back California sophistication at its finest. The soulful home is certainly luxe, but not in an in-your-face sort of way — it leans more homey than palatial. “Their space blends approachable, lived-in pieces with streamlined, modern details,” notes Havenly designer Brady Burke. “It’s equal parts casual and stylish.” To channel the couple’s loungey look in your space, Burke notes that it’s all about mixing the cozy with the edgy — think a boucle accent chair and a low-slung velvet sofa paired with bold artwork and metallic brass accents.
