Between shower and floor tile, hardware, paint, lighting, and decor, there’s so much to love about bathroom design. Don’t believe us? Just picture a floating marble bathroom vanity with wall paneling and matching brass wall sconces. Or better yet, an open shower with floor-to-ceiling terracotta tile and matte black plumbing hardware — swoon.
Needless to say, bathrooms open up a whole new world of design treatments, looks, and trends, from clawfoot soaking tubs to windowpane showers and beyond. So, to kickoff your bathroom design brainstorm, we’re rounding up our favorite bathroom trends of 2022 in partnership with our friends at Made Renovation.
But before we dig into our hit list, an important PSA: Made is giving Havenly customers in the Bay Area, Seattle, L.A., Austin, and DC metro markets a $2,000 discount on bathroom renovations (lucky you!).
As the 6th largest bathroom renovation provider in the U.S., Made is our designer’s go-to for combining architecture, materials, and top local contractors for an all-in-one reno experience.

1. Mint Green Tile
It’s no secret that we’re loving all things green lately, so of course mint green shower tile made our list. With an inspired twist on organic tones, this tile feels fresh, fun, and a touch playful, especially when paired with brass shower hardware and speckled penny tile on the floors.
2. Windowpane Showers
If you can make a statement with your architecture, always do so. We’re loving windowpane showers for that exact reason — they’re a standout design feature and eliminate the need for excess bathroom decor and over-the-top tile. We love the modern simplicity of the above full bath!
3. Playful Floor Tile
On the other hand, sometimes more is more. We can’t help but love an eye-catching floor tile, especially when paired with a tonal shower moment. Because bathrooms are typically on the small size (unless you’re lucky), they’re the perfect candidate for bold flooring.
4. Moody Teal
The eighties called, and we definitely answered. This classic teal and brass moment feels retro in the best way — it’s dark, dramatic, and completely captivating. Paired with monochrome paint, a touch of funky wallpaper, and a modern floating vanity, and you’re bringing the ’80s back in signature style.
5. Desert Deco
This look is so very Sarah Sherman Samuel, which means we’re automatically here for it. For a soothing, spa-like vibe, you can’t go wrong with soft, desert-inspired tones like blush and sand. Coupled with clean, modern lines, matte black hardware, and geometric patterns, the look feels fresh and unexpected.
6. Spa Tubs
Honestly, who doesn’t love a soaking tub?! If space allows, consider adding a proper bathtub to your space. While we certainly don’t hate a classic shower-tub combo, there’s something luxurious about having separate spaces. Plus, selecting design details like hardware, tile, and accessories for both a shower and a tub sounds like our idea of a good time (we know, we’re nerding out).
7. Open Showers
No door, no problem. The open-concept shower has taken the design world by storm in the last few years, and we’re fully on board with this clean, minimalist look. Instead, spice things up with fun, colorful shower tile, luxe hardware, and a floating shelf or two (bonus points for Aesop products).
8. Dramatic Scallop Tile
In addition to giving us a deep sea mermaid vibe (the answer is always yes), scalloped shower tile creates a design-forward moment in one fell swoop. It’s cool, trendy, and timeless all at once, and a foolproof way to add shape and contrast to your bathroom.
