When Taylor C. embarked on her Havenly Design Experience, she knew that she needed an accommodating space that would make entertaining a delight. Beyond entertaining, Taylor sought a room that would provide comfort and functionality for evenings of lounging with her husband.
Based on Taylor’s appreciation for the transitional blend of traditional and contemporary styles, Havenly connected Taylor with designer Amy F. The pair got to work on uniting the room’s requirements with Taylor’s unique desires, carefully working toward some initial design concepts.
Design Concepts
Among some of Taylor’s favorite items were the bison picture, gold lamp, floor lamp, and leopard pillows. Of course, some items didn’t quite resonate with her aesthetic, like the neutral colored chairs. With the highlights set aside, the design duo moved on to a rendering of the initial room design.

It’s at this point in the process that the room’s distinct characteristics come into play. For instance, Taylor and Amy had to pay special attention to a recessed feature above the fireplace. Leave it empty? Fill it with artwork? The implications of these design choices would have a deep impact on the room’s aesthetic.
With these considerations in mind, Amy put together a final room design.

Now that the final design worked in perfect harmony with Taylor’s desires and the room’s requirements, it was time to make this dream space a reality.

In response to Amy’s final design for the space, Taylor said, “She nailed it!” And we think that pretty much sums up what Amy is capable of. Her carefully crafted rooms honor the individual needs and tastes of each Havenly customer she has the pleasure to work with.
