My personal design aesthetic is a very well-balanced combination of classic French Baroque design elements, as well as modern forms seen from the Art Nouveau era in design, and a bit of the 70s/80s post-modernism. Think modern furniture, mixed metals, pattern-play, and carefully curated color all grounded with some fabulous hardwood floors, preferably in a herringbone pattern.
