Students 17 years of age or older from Austin, TX; Boston, MA; Denver, CO; New York, NY; and Washington, DC who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or certificate program at an accredited college or university for the 2023-24 academic year with an interest in a career in interior design or related study.

Applicants are required to complete an application about their education and career goals, as well as essay questions. Applicants will also be asked to include a link to their design portfolio or share an image of their favorite design.

Havenly will review all applications after the deadline of March 31, 2023 and will determine the scholarship winner within one  month of application close. The scholarship winner will be contacted by Havenly directly via email. All decisions are final.

When can I expect to hear back from Havenly regarding the status of my application?

The Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a check made payable to the Accredited Institution at which the recipient is enrolled (proof of enrollment in an Eligible Program or proof of acceptance into an Eligible Program at an Accredited Institution will be required). Scholarships may not be assigned or transferred. No cash equivalent prize will be awarded. The awarding of any Scholarship as part of this Program is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Program Rules. Scholarships that are not used for the academic year for which they are awarded will be forfeited.

What can the scholarship money be used for?

Eligibility. The Havenly Scholarship Program is open to students who: (1) maintain residences and/or mailing addresses in one of the following metro areas: Austin, TX; Boston, MA; Denver, CO; New York, NY; and Washington, DC; (2) are 17 years of age or older at the time of application; and (3) are enrolled at an accredited college or university. Employees of Havenly Inc. and their immediate families are not eligible to apply or receive a scholarship.Only one application is allowed per student in this scholarship competition. At Havenly, we believe that interior design should be accessible to all, including aspiring designers. We started the Havenly Scholarship to support the next generation of creatives, architects, and interior designers from all walks of life. Through this initiative, we hope to help eliminate barriers to entry and foster creativity for students in the DC area.

The Havenly interior designers in Washington, DC have a flair for creating stately yet comfortable homes. The many dignified homes in the area reflect its traditional heritage from the Edwardian to the modern. Their distinct, elegant designs often reflect the sophisticated clientele for whom they create.

The average cost to hire an interior designer is between $50-$200 per hour depending on location and expertise. However, at Havenly we charge a fixed price per room starting at $99!

When creating a budget, it is important to decide what you need in your space. You will also want to consider the quality of the pieces you wish to buy. 

Interior designers tend to charge on an hourly or square footage basis. However at Havenly, we charge a fixed price per room with no hidden fees.

How does pricing work in interior design?

When choosing an interior designer it is important to identify your style, look at a designer’s portfolio, set a budget, and have an open mind!
