What’s blue and white and striped all over?  The master bedroom of Julia Dzafic of the blog Lemon Stripes!  Many of you already know this bloggerina – Gray Malin featured her home (ahem, designed by Havenly!) on his site earlier this year.  Now it’s our turn!

WHO:  Julia  Dzafic, the voice behind the lifestyle blog Lemon Stripes and Marketing Director for Nourish Snacks.

WHERE: A happy home in Greenwich, Connecticut where she resides with her photographer husband.

WHAT SHE WANTED:  Julia is all about the preppy chic look – stripes, ginger jars, mirrored finishes and pops of pink.  She wanted her bedroom to feel clean, bright, happy, yet grown up.  Julia wanted to keep her bed and dresser but was open to purchasing additional pieces to ensure the cohesiveness of the look.

WHAT SHE GOT:  Havenly designer Shelby G. worked to give Julia that serene “coastal” feel with a little punch.

Concepts

A Cheerful Blogger's Bedroom By Havenly A Cheerful Blogger's Bedroom By Havenly

Julia loved both concepts so much she ended up combining them!  She made the decision to keep both of her current nightstands and lamps but splurged on new bedding from Serena & Lily and a collection of darling throw pillows and accessories from PBTeen and Pottery Barn.

“I love how the design of our space is clean, bright, and open, but really expresses our personality,” Julia shared with us after the design had been implemented.  “I like how our furniture isn’t matchy matchy but gels into one cohesive room.”

THE REAL DEAL:  This bedroom design is comforting and tranquil yet still reads undeniably Julia.

Beautiful bedroom Julia! What is the name and maker of the paint on your walls? 🙂

Hey Negisa – glad you like the bedroom we put together for Julia! I checked with the room’s designer, Shelby G., regarding the room’s color and apparently that’s how the room was painted when she moved in!

In case you’re interested, the colors we provided with our design renderings were:

Benjamin Moor Sweet Bluelette – https://www.havenly.com/products/view/5394838/566

Benjamin Moor Sterling Silver – https://www.havenly.com/products/view/5394791/566

Maybe you’ll have better luck pinging Julia herself on Twitter @juliadzafic

Good luck!

I love the idea of having a professional designer design a room that anyone can afford! I hope it’s okay to share the link for your style quiz to my brand new blog http://homedecortrendsandthings.blogspot.com/, I hope to feature a room created by one of your designers soon! BTW Love this fresh look! Are those real roses? How do you feel about faux flowers for the home?

Hi, Brooke

Please share away, that’s fantastic! Faux flowers, faux fur, faux leather – if it makes you feel good, we approve.
