Using green in interior design evokes instant tranquility and relaxation, and in the spirit of Saint Patrick’s Day, we’re taking a cue from The Emerald Isle. Ireland’s lush countryside and green, rolling hills serve as perfect inspiration for creating serene design schemes at home.

We tapped Havenly designer Levi Austin, Sarah Jones, and Hannah Skaar to translate an Irish-inspired palette of greens into 3-D renderings of versatile living spaces, ranging from dark and moody to feminine and playful.

Designer Levi Austin used a deep, moody green for the walls of this living room rendering, which features glam elements throughout—note the overscale gold coffee table, tufted bench, wall sconces, and decadent velvet pillows.

Modern artwork adds pops of bright color, while plenty of greenery and fresh flowers breathe even more life into the space.

Scandinavian style meets Irish chic in interior designer Sarah Jones’ living room design. Sarah opted for artichoke green wallpaper with matching trim, creating a sumptuous backsplash for modern artwork and minimalist furniture.

Crisp, cream-colored curtains add a tailored look and create the illusion of higher ceilings.

Interior designer Hannah Skaar opted for a bluer shade of green for her floral and feminine living room design. A shapely settee and pale pink chairs invite guests to relax and converse, while a faceted pendant light adds Victorian-era appeal.

To complement rather than compete with the detailed wallpaper, Hannah chose simple yet refined upholstery and curtains.
