  • Nina P.

The design process was smooth and flexible. Havenly made our space much more functional and beautiful. We love that the room is still minimalist, but cozy and comfortable, too.

  • Robin E.

Ashley did a great job taking a small space and using it to address both of our unique needs without making the room feel crowded. The mirror she recommended makes the room feel so much bigger!

  • Tori K.

I love how Sydney was able to design around the furniture I already had, while recommending new pieces to complement the look so well!

  • Andrea B.

I loved Kevin's design before I even saw the finished product. I bought the couches, lamps, and kitchen lighting right away!

Marisa was wonderful, and helped us toggle between high-quality options and budget finds. She was very patient with us on some of the design details, and the results speak for themselves.

  • Alisa L.

Brianna was patient and responsive whenever I changed my mind. I loved not having to do the shopping myself, and just basically ordered the items she recommended straight from her 3D rendering. Overall, I had a great experience!

FAQs

How does the interior design process work at Havenly?

Take the style quiz (about 5 minutes) and choose your designer from our suggestions, then share photos and measurements of your space. You'll get back a full design board, floor plan, and shoppable product list. From there, shop on your own timeline, or let an in-person designer handle everything. Want to see a real client walkthrough of a full session?

Can I get on a call with my designer?

Yes. When you work with a designer online, you can hop on a video or phone call to talk through your space, walk them around the room, and make decisions together in real time. And if you choose In-Person Design, your designer comes to you, so you can walk the space and make decisions together, right there in the room. Either way, there's a real human on the other end whenever you need one.

How much do interior design services cost?

Havenly AI is free. An online session with a designer is $199 per room and includes a full design board, floor plan, and shoppable list. In-person, full-service design starts at $699. Traditional interior designers often charge $100 to $500 an hour, which can run into the thousands for a single room, so Havenly is built to be a fraction of that.

How long does it take to get my design?

Havenly AI is instant. With an online designer, your first concepts typically come back in 3-14 days, not the months a traditional firm can take. In-person timelines are scoped to your project and set with your designer.

Do I need to measure my room?

For an online session, yes. A few simple measurements let your designer build a floor plan that actually fits, and we'll walk you through exactly what to measure. Or download our app and let it build the floor plan for you. For in-person design, your designer handles measurements when they visit.

What if I don't love the design?

You're not stuck. Your designer revises your plan until it feels right. Our Happiness Guarantee means if something's off, we make it right.

Can I keep my existing furniture?

Yes. Tell your designer what's staying, whether it's a sofa you love or a hand-me-down, and they'll design around it. Good design works with what you've got, not against it.

Do I have to buy everything at once?

No — to either. Your shoppable list is yours to work through at your own pace, and you're not obligated to buy through Havenly at all. Buy it all, buy some of it, or find your own version elsewhere. Curious is Havenly worth it?

Do I need a designer, or can I just do it myself?

If a room's mostly working, DIY is fine. If it's been stuck for months or pieces you've bought don't work together, a designer usually saves money over guessing. See signs you need an interior designer.

What does a designer actually do that I can't do myself?

They solve layout, check scale and color against your real room, and choose pieces that work together as a whole — not one at a time. You bring the taste; they handle the translation into a shoppable plan. More on the signs it's time to hire a designer.

What if I don't know my style yet?

That's the normal starting point — react to rooms, point at what you like, share a few inspiration photos. Reading your taste from there is your designer's job. See how to prepare for your design session.

What photos should I take before I start?

Shoot in daylight with the lamps off — one wide shot from the doorway, then each corner. Corners show how the space connects, which one wide shot misses. Full guide: get the most out of your design session.
