We know summer 2022 hasn’t even technically started just yet, but we’re calling it now: green decor is having a moment. This goes beyond your typical fresh-for-spring looks — we’re seeing rich shades of olive, kelly green, evergreen, and even chartreuse making an appearance in countless client projects.

And honestly, we’re not surprised — the hue is rich, bold, and moody yet neutral, serene, and nature-inspired, depending on your chosen hue. In other words, it’s incredibly versatile and a foolproof choice when curating your whole-home palette or simply adding a color pop to your space.

So, if you’re looking to add green decor to your living room, patio, or bedroom, welcome to our collective office. Ahead, 15 stylish and creative green decor ideas, courtesy of our designers:

1. Green Accent Chairs

A small dose of green can be just as impactful as bold, all-over paint color, especially in a living room. The above green velvet chairs add dimension to the space, and the hue plays so well with the cobalt blue walls (they’re analogous colors on the color wheel). The effect is almost monochromatic!

2. Muted Green Wallpaper

This gorgeous sea-foam green wallpaper adds the perfect pop of personality to this otherwise muted dining room. The natural accent hue plays beautifully with the wood furniture and rattan pendant lights, while the charcoal touch ground the look.

3. Sage Green & Neutrals

Sage green is the perfect muted shade when it comes to mixing with neutrals. In this bedroom, the overall look is calm but not boring, thanks to the soft pop of color against the browns, tans and creamy whites.  It’s refreshing and tranquil, just as a bedroom should feel.

4. Olive Green Glam

For a more moody, deep pop of green, turn to all things olive. This rich color looks gorgeous paired with brass, black, and rich brown accents, as evidenced by the above luxe living room. Add a pop of animal print and graphic wall art to round out the look.

5. Green Statement Furniture

6. Green Architecture

8. Deep Green Florals

In case you missed it: granny florals are trending again, and the above bedroom is a glowing example of how to modernize the look. The on-point cane bed, modern chandelier, and black accents balance out the rich, blue-green wallpaper, resulting in a floral look that’s undeniably timeless.

9. Minimalist Green

You can still stick to a warm minimalist aesthetic while introducing a pop of subtle green. These muted olive accent chairs add a gorgeous, soft touch of color that perfectly complements the cream sofa, gold hardware, and warm sienna ottomans.

10. Olive Green Curtains

To add a touch of muted color to an otherwise neutral, black and white space, look to your curtains (btw, we’ve got a story on our favorite budget-friendly options). The olive green adds visual interest to the black-on-black furniture, in addition to providing additional shade in the guest bedroom. Finish the look with gold wall sconces and a chartreuse throw pillow!

11. Statement Dining Chairs

This dining room has multiple pops of green, yet still feels relatively neutral and calming. The touch of green patterned wallpaper draws the eye upwards, while the mis-matched green and brass dining chairs add a luxe touch. We love how they contrast with the traditional, crisp white wainscoting!

12. Emerald Greens

Even if you love warm colors like terracotta, brick red, and soft sienna, you can still embrace green in your space. Jewel-toned greens like emerald pair beautifully with warmer hues and rich metals, like brass and gold. This look is still muted and nature-inspired, with an evocative twist.

13. All Green Everything

There’s something about chartreuse green that feels particularly trendy and daring, especially when paired with edgy curved furniture and a touch of black.  If you already subscribe to a more vibrant aesthetic, go all-in on wall-to-wall green paint (don’t forget the ceiling) and balance the look with natural accents and crisp bedding.

14. Green Accent Wall

While a kelly green accent wall sounds bold, you can definitely balance out the look with the right rug, gold hardware, and natural accents, like the woven pouf and rattan light fixture. The floor-to-ceiling wall paneling takes this nursery to another level — it’s surprisingly modern and design-forward!

15. Green Artwork

Traditional artwork is staging a comeback, including serene, green landscape paintings and photographs. Add a pop of complementary green to a pink, white, and mustard yellow palette, and carry the hue through a green statement bench. Plus, it’s easy to swap out if you ever tire of it!
