When you imagine a pink room, a lot of images may immediately come to mind — many of which may seem straight out of the Barbie Dream House. While this hue certainly has an association with all things frilly and fanciful, the truth is that it’s almost deceptively versatile.

That’s because pink paint colors come in all different tones and shades — each of which can have a vastly different impact. An on-trend mauve or dusty blush pink may add an air of sophistication to a living room or bedroom, while a soft pink can bring a lighthearted, playful feel to a kitchen or bathroom. If you really want to make a statement, a more vibrant magenta or fuchsia can do the trick, while a well-balanced blush tone is so universally accommodating that you might treat it like you would a neutral color.

One thing is certain: There are almost too many pink paint colors to consider. But Havenly designer Kelsey Fischer has her favorites that she turns to whenever she wants to liven up a space with a splash of pink. Here, she shares 20 picks for every design preference.

Pink Paint Colors: Mauve
