Preppy style leans on grasscloth and rattan, bold stripes and florals, and glossy lacquered furniture, in a palette that's bright and cheerful — navy and white as a base, with kelly green, coral, or pink accents. Start with a room that fits how you actually live, then commit to one signature pattern, then repeat its colors in smaller doses around the room.
