Anchor your living room with a console that hides the cords and shows off your style—modern, black-finish, and contemporary options sized for every TV. They just look awesome.
As a rule, your console should be at least 6–12 inches wider than your TV on each side, so the screen never looks like it's tipping off the edge. Measure your TV's full width, add a foot, and use that as your minimum—a 55″ TV pairs well with a 60–68″ console, while a 65″ TV wants 70″ or more. If the console doubles as storage or display, size up for breathing room.
Modern consoles lean on clean lines, low profiles, and warm woods or matte finishes. Black media consoles ground a bright room and hide fingerprints between cleans. Contemporary styles mix materials—wood-and-metal, fluted fronts—for a piece that feels current without chasing a trend. Whatever the look, our designers favor closed storage to keep cords and clutter out of sight.
Treat the top like a mini mantel: anchor one side with a stack of books or a small sculpture, add height with a table lamp or trailing plant, and leave negative space so it doesn't read busy. Flank the TV with tall art or shelving so it doesn't float, and route cords through the back cutouts for a finished look.

They’re often used interchangeably. A TV stand usually implies a simpler, smaller piece; a media console suggests more storage and a furniture-grade look that works even when the TV is off.
Most of our designer-picked consoles include back cutouts or channels for routing cables. Check each product's details for its specific cord-management features.
Look for at least 70 inches wide, so the TV has 6–12 inches of breathing room on each side plus room for styling.
