Our Designers Are Obsessed With Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace — Here’s Why

Bright transitional living room with cream sofa, gold accents, and floor-to-ceiling windows creating an airy, sophisticated atmosphere.

Not to be dramatic, but picking out the *perfect* white paint color can be truly mind-numbing. There are tens of thousands of shades across far too many brands, all with a unique combination of warm and cool undertones that are indiscernible to the naked eye. It takes endless sampling, swatching, and comparing through all hours of the day to land on the perfect hue for your space.

Okay, that concludes the rant portion of this article. And now, onto the serviceable part: our favorite white paint colors. We’ve already waxed poetic about our go-to soft, slightly warm paint color (cue Simply White), and now we’re onto our all-time favorite crisp white: Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace.

How to Use Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace

The brand describes Chantilly Lace as “a classic go-to white that elicits images of fresh cotton and pure silk,” and we have to agree with this description. With a slight cool undertone, this is a bright, crisp white that looks amazing – especially alongside brass details.

True to form, this clean, classic white is a great choice for any room in your home. We particularly love pairing it with matching trim for an all over light and bright aesthetic. In the Dining Room

Modern dining space with crisp white palette, black glass cabinet, mid-century wood chairs, and natural light emphasis.

The dining room is a great place to let your statement furniture do all of the talking, as seen in the above dining nook. Primed with a clean coat of Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace on the walls, ceiling, and trim, the black credenza, traditional wooden chairs, and crisp marble pedestal table really pop.

In the Living Room

Contemporary living room in soft neutrals with brass dome pendant, cream furnishings, and geometric rug creating elegant simplicity.

This living room is the design definition of chic Parisian-style goals. Chantilly Lace sets the foundation for high style with a crisp white canvas, allowing the ivory furniture and decor as well as brass accents to weave in a welcoming sense of warmth. We especially love how it enhances the gorgeous natural emanating from the bay window!

In the Home Office

Minimalist home office in pristine white with brass accents, monochrome zebra rug, and curated gallery wall styling.

While we love a dark and moody office space, we realize going bold can feel daunting in a smaller space. Enter: Chantilly Lace for a sophisticated scene. This brilliant tint makes for the perfect airy, energizing office space, no matter the size.  And, when paired with an ivory antique desk and linen office chair, it feels perfectly cosmopolitan.

In the Bedroom

Serene bedroom in soft cream and white with chandelier, linen bedding, and abundant natural light creating calm, luxurious retreat.

Similar to offices, dramatic bedrooms will always have a place in our design hearts. But that’s not to say we don’t love waking up to a clean and serene space with lovely white walls. Here, Chantilly Lace creates a crisp yet calming atmosphere, while the layered textiles enhance the comfort factor. Go for a monochromatic feel with different shades of white and beige throughout to really send the sophistication factor through the roof.
