My favorite design styles are mid-century modern and boho. These styles are characterized by the presence of wood and bold or earth colors. The warmth generated by wood and its combination with natural and powerful colors give personality to the space. I am a big fan of plants and love seeing greenery throughout the house. I prefer a lived-in, intimate, and cozy aesthetic. Also, I'm an outdoorsy girl, so I love to create designs that are influenced by the outdoors using earth tones and lots of organic natural elements like woods, stone, and plants balanced with lots of natural lighting and white walls to open up the space paired with contrasting black accents. I love a contrasting look in design, and my favorite mix is a Rustic style with a Midcentury Modern look. The metal and raw, organic wood finish from Rustic combining the midcentury modern elegance, retro look with pops of color, and iconic pieces really speak to me. So for now my favorite design aesthetic is Transitional, I love its natural aesthetic, the cozy look it gives to each home, and the way you can integrate other styles with it. My favorite design aesthetic is farmhouse. Growing up in Texas I've seen a lot of this style in homes. Many colors can be used when designing this style which is what makes it fun to create. I also enjoy the flexibility that goes along with it. One can have a farmhouse style but adjust it to be more rustic or modern depending on preference.
